SATURDAY: Newzealand Vs Australia

We transfered back from Howick to Auckland for the opening game of the Tri-Nations, Newzealand Vs Australia at eden park. before the game we went our coach Mr Guise's mother in law's for a BBQ and then it was of to the game. the match was a close contest with australia leading at half time, however newzealand fought back to win 22-16.

FRIDAY: GAME DAY

After a quiet evening with our billits we met back at Howickthe next morning for our first matches of the tour.

Match Report:

we dominated the first half scoring three try's to none, however Howick came back strong in the second half scoring to early try's. But some tatical changes helped us to victory scoring two more tries in the process.

Match Report:

The first team game was a much tighter contest possibly due to the wet conditions. we took an early lead through two Stuart Pearham penalties, however Howick fought back with a penalty of their own before half time. The first XV began the second half strong after having a try disallowed due to a debaitable forward pass. Towards the end Pearham converted another penalty to secure a 3-9 victory.

1st WEEK: Thursday

We transfered to our first hosts and opposition, Howick colledge. On the way we stoipped at the natural thermal hot springs for a swim and then afterwards we met our first billits. i was billited alongside a tram mate of mine called joe with a family called the Masons, whose son was actually 19 and had left school but was part of the squad that toured england in 07 and played St. benedict's.

1st WEEK: Wednesday

We had an early breakfast followed by our second training session of the tour. We trained at our 1st XV coach Mr Guise old school, Sacred Heart. The session was much improvedprobably because everyone had a good nights sleep . after training we went back to the hotel before going to kelly tartins aquarium.

1st WEEK: Tuesday

we arrived at our first destination of the tour, Auckland at 9am tuesday morning. After checking into our hotel we went into town for lunch and then had our first training session on the beach. it wasnt too bad but it think everyone was feeling the jet-lag.

"STASH"

"STASH" was handed out to every member of the touring party and the expence of my kit was covered by the generous sponsorship of surrey envolopes of whom iam very thanful to. The fantastic kit was supplied by Samurai Sportswear and consisted of two pairs of socks, two pairs of shorts, two t-shirts, two polos, a wet weather top, track-suit bottoms, a hoodie, waterbottle, beanie, match day bag, hopper bag and back pack as well as two sets of playing shirts for the !st and 2nd teams, balls, cones ect...
